■Introduction to the Department of Music of National Taiwan University of the Arts
1. Introduction to the curriculum of this department. This department was transformed into the Department of Music of National Taiwan University of the Arts by the order of the Ministry of Education in the 87th academic year. In 1979, the school was upgraded to National Taiwan University of the Arts, that the undergraduate program of the has a total of four years of courses. Those who have completed and passed the course will be awarded the Bachelor of Arts (B.F.A).The major teaching is divided into seven groups including piano, vocal music, string music, wind music, percussion, theoretical composition and plucked strings, and applications for double majors and auxiliary departments are open (the minor is compulsory for the first year of the university), in order to provide students with more employment channels.
2. Educational Objectives The school is an art university, and its development direction is all about art education. The purpose of the establishment of this department is to match the educational goals of the school, to cultivate music professionals, to carry forward my country's art culture, and to enrich the content of human spiritual life. Through the school's professional training, he will continue to devote himself to the cultivation of domestic music performance talents. The graduation credits of the undergraduate course and the advanced study are 128 credits, including 30 credits (daytime bachelor) and 26 credits (study bachelor) of the school's common compulsory subjects.
